COMPLIANCE
We at PU Diagnostics are honored by CLIA, we employ stringent procedures to guarantee that all of our operations adhere to the relevant state and federal regulations, and our executive team includes several people with legal backgrounds.
We do not pay any doctors directly or indirectly, and we do not entice doctors to submit specimens or undergo tests as part of our commitment to compliance. Moreover, we take every precaution to make sure there is no financial incentive for a provider to use our services, and all of the tests we run are based on the patient’s medical history or the doctor’s declaration of medical necessity.
We have further put in place a Corporate Compliance Program to assist us in staying in compliance in a highly regulated industry. Also, we hired Acevedo Consulting Incorporated, a reputable compliance company, to help us make sure we met the OIG’s “7 elements” of an effective compliance programme. As we realised that a “off the shelf” programme could not satisfy our commitment to compliance, this team helped us perform a risk assessment in the development of our Code of Conduct and Compliance Manual. Training on the Code of Conduct and the fact that adhering to applicable state and federal laws as well as our policies is necessary for employment will be provided to all employees and the executive team. Without fear of reprisal, every team member is urged to speak up with any questions or concerns; in fact, doing so is a requirement of employment. Additionally, everyone in management and the workforce is required to take part in compliance training at least once a year. So, we can say that we are aware that implementing a compliance programme is both ethical and profitable.
